Laura Boyd www.laura-boyd.com Laura attended Harrow School of Art and concentrated on etchings for many years acheiving a lot of success -at one point having work in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition - and selling work all over the world through Buckingham Fine Art and Alpha One Marketing.
Since moving to Devon she has become a full time painter exhibiting work in many exhibitions in Devon and at the Mill, Otterton, the Brook Gallery and Isca Gallery in Budleigh Salterton. She likes to paint flowers and landscapes of Devon mainly but also is inspired by places she has travelled including Tuscany,Italy, New York and Long Island - particurlarly the North Fork with its wonderful seascapes and beaches with native flowers.
She does contemporary oil paintings and watercolours but likes to draw so there is a strong evidence of that in her work often using a sharpened stick of willow dipped in ink before finishing these images with watercolour or diluted ink washes.
